Our Story
Ceramics are all about getting your hands dirty.
My husband and I are both hands-on makers. While he prefers the precision and clean lines of woodworking, I’ve always seen beauty in mess. Ceramics are all about getting your hands dirty: feeling the clay fall into shape or, if my fingers aren’t quite in sync, fall apart on the wheel.
This is the life of the Potter.
My designs here at Ceramic Whatnots reflect the free spirit you have to embrace when you make a commitment to clay. My signature carved pieces are uniquely decorated by hand every time, I embrace curves and waves over straight lines, and I’ve given in to the creative heart of my daughter and allowed pink to become one of my primary color inspirations.
I hope when you browse the Ceramic Whatnots collection you are encouraged to embrace your creativity, go out into the world, and get your hands a little dirty.
